The Changi Walk commemorated the 70th anniversary of the fall of Singapore in February 1942. Those captured were forced marched from the Padang to Changi Prison. The Sandbaggers retraced the 25km march in pouring rain and were joined by over 100 men, women and children from the massed ranks of the Singapore Gurkha Contingent, the Royal Marines, the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force, Singapore Cricket Club as well as parents and teachers of the Tanglin Trust School.
